Amy Lycett Club Instructor Amy Lycett 2nd Dan

Hello, I began training in jujitsu over 15 years ago while at university where I gained a Black Belt 1st Dan in Goshin Ryu Jujitsu and I currently hold a 2nd Dan Black Belt with Combat Academy UK and a brown belt in Judo.

I opened Bracknell Club in 2003 as I wished to pass on my knowledge that I had gained and was thrilled when my first student passed their Black Belt.

Over the years I have competed in many mixed martial arts events, cumulating in winning the Submission Fighting Nationals in 2000 and I am also a medal winner in Judo and Kickboxing. I train regulary under our senior instructor Master Ian Gaudlie and have also studied Karate, Kobudo and Fencing over my years as a martial artist. I work as a personal fitness trainer and I run my own company Transform Fitness UK.

John Hayman Instructor John Hayman

John started training because he realised he was putting on weight and was generally looking for a sport he could sink his teeth into.

As an Instructor John has a very thorough approach and will not rush students through the grades. Instead he encourages them to build confidence in what they know and use these techniques effectively.

Kickboxing is John’s passion and he has competed several times in the Cimac Super League and at the Combat Academy Interclub he has even fought the 3 times national champion Alun Freeman. Check out News & Events to see him in action

Kathryn Rooke Matthews Assistant Kathryn Rooke Matthews

Kathryn currently holds a CAUK Blue belt and regularly helps with the children’s class.

Kathryn has been a keen member of Bracknell Club and over the years has shown herself to be a worthy training partner to all that attend. Watch out for her right hook as her opponent found out in this years Interclub.
